Síla černého slunce: (ok)kulturní perspektivy nacistického/SS esoterismu (závěr)

6. Diskuse

Nebudu diskutovat o vztazích mezi magickou ideologií Řádu a Třetí říší či SS z historického pohledu, protože to není předmětem této přednášky. Co mne zde zajímá, je spíše síla mýtu v soudobé společnosti. Je velmi lákavé u tohoto materiálu používat koncept mýtu Bruce Lincolna jakožto ideologii ve formě vyprávění a vědu jako mýtus s poznámkami pod čarou (Lincoln 1999:209). Je těžké se přít, že v dnešní západní společnosti vlastně existuje dominantní mýtus o nacistickém Německu a 2. světové válce, kdy nacisté jsou ti zlí a (západní) Spojenci jsou dobří. Toto je patrné také v některých vědeckých pracech, zvláště když do diskurzu vstupují prvky z okkultury.

Několik kryptohistorických děl, jež jsou jsou nejzjevněji nositeli tohoto mýtu, by dle Lincolnova návrhu v zásadě bylo možno považovat za určitý druh učenosti (a skutečně se takto samy prezentují), protože jsou plné odkazů a poznámek pod čarou. Sdílenou formou vědecky uznávané komunikace se hranice mezi žánry stírají, což někdy vede k hybridním textům, které jsou ve skutečnosti mýty s poznámkami pod čarou. Rovněž zahrnují – zvláště King 1976 a Sklar 1977 – zjevnou ideologickou agendu, vedle uznávání „vědomí zdravého rozumu”, že nacisté byli zlí, což znamená vztyčit varovný prapor ohledně kultovních hnutích v dnešní společnosti, které jsou satanské, nebo jsou za ně považovaná. To následuje po diskursivních tématech, jež jsou rovněž patrná v dalších dílech zabývajícími se fascinací nacistickým Německem v populární kultuře, zejména v klasickém eseji Susan Sontagové „Fascinating Fascism” (1974/1980), ale také např. ve studii o reenaktorech věnujících se 2. světové válce v díle Ronalda M. Smelsera a Edwarda J. Daviese II The Myth of the Eastern Front (2008),  a dokonce do jisté míry (v souvislosti s hudební subkulturou) v knize Black Sun (2002) od Goodrick-Clarka. Existují ještě souvislosti s obecnějším diskursem o nenormálnosti, včetně vztahu k morální panice (Cohen 1972/2002; srov. Hultin 2012).

Co se tedy z toho můžeme naučit? Za prvé, že oficiální vzpomínková kultura, včetně akademické, rozhodně není imunní vůči okkulturním vlivům z populárních médií. Další poměrně zjevná lekce souvisí s Lincolnovým argumentem, že „jsou to často přání výzkumníka, co určuje principy výběru. Když ani data, ani kritika kolegů nebrání výmyslům vedeným přáním, je situace zralá pro učenost jakožto mýtus” (1999:215). Je zajímavé, že ačkoliv mýtus a fantazie jsou běžnými módy myšlení v okkultuře, „skuteční“ okultisté Aquino a Flowers sdílejí akademickou snahu o historickou přesnost, pokud jde o teoretické základy jejich magické ideologie. Na druhé straně se zdá, že učenci jako profesoři Sickinger a Padfield přijímají typ prvků – snad bychom je mohli nazvat okkulturními mýto-tématy – jež jsou ve skutečnosti v kultických skupinách odmítány jakožto senzacechtivé a bez hodnoty. Lincoln opět poskytuje zajímavý podnět. Mohla by to být také otázka hledání kognitivní kontroly nad něčím, co je v tomto případě vnímáno jako částečně nepochopitelné, „relativně prázdná obrazovka, na kterou mohou učenci promítat své obavy a touhy” (Lincoln 1999:211, srov. také 214-215).

Na závěr: mýtus o nacistickém okultismu, jakožto fenoménu institucionalizovanému a praktikovanému v Třetí říši, je dnes v naší společnosti pevně usazen. Používá se různými způsoby – komerčně, ideologicky, umělecky, v kontextu fantasy a sci-fi, vědecky a magicky. Ačkoliv černé slunce na Wewelsburgu nikdy nebylo symbolem, které SS používala, a není považováno za nijak zvlášť důležité pro praktické magické použití v kultické skupině, které jinak pracuje s prvky Třetí říše, zvláště Wewelsburgem, stalo se velmi silným faktorem v dnešní okkultuře. Černé slunce je dnešním symbolem nacistického okultismu. Jeho paprsky si dokonce nachází cestu do částí akademického diskurzu, což zase vede k „oficiálnímu potvrzení” a další legitimizaci populárních mýtů. Rozhodně se zdá, že jeho síla je neporazitelná.
